"Writing Your Memoir Workshop" with Marsha Bergquist

Monday, July 17, 2017 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Marsha E. Bergquist, of Naples, FL and Middleboro, MA will present an evening of WRITING YOUR MEMOIR at the Alley Theater in Middleboro on Monday, July 17.
Mrs. Bergquist has facilitated the instruction of writing at the high school and college level; most recently she has been a visiting lecturer at FSW College in Naples, FL, often addressing the writing of memoir.  She received her BA in English and an MAT with a concentration in English from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.  She is a certified teacher of English in Massachusetts and Florida.

Mrs. Bergquist states, ”Writing your memoir is a thought provoking, emotional journey.  As I worked on developing the instructional piece to this program, I worked on my own personal memoir.  On many occasions I sat back and sighed, often smiled, and sometimes wiped a tear from my eye.  No matter the emotion, I always thought how special it had been to take the time out of my busy days to reflect on my past and my future.  I wish the same emotional experience for each and every person who chooses to work with me and to craft a treasure chest of memories.  Writing your memoir is an opportunity to leave a written legacy of who you are, your thoughts and experiences, and what you would like to be remembered for.  What a gift for family and friends.”

Mrs. Bergquist will present methods of getting started with writing your memoir; common pitfalls in writing the memoir, and her own specific program in writing the memoir.
The doors for Writing the Memoir event open at 6:00 p.m. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. Some audience interaction will begin the process of thinking and writing about one’s life. The Alley Theatre is located at 133 Center Street in Middleboro. Tickets are $15.00 per person/cash only.
