The Town of Middleborough spans 72.31 square miles and is steeped in history along the banks of the Nemasket River. Founded in 1640, Middleborough beautifully marries tradition with modern advancements. Known as the Cranberry Capital of World, it still maintains its roots as a farming community. Despite significant industrial growth since the establishment of Route 495, the town offers a slice of "country" living with its lush green spaces, woodlands, and rivers. Visitors can partake in a variety of recreational activities, including sports programs, parades, and country fairs or explore The Oliver Estate and the Middleborough Historical Museum.
